Screencap and note me when you get it!So, the short version is: in less then an hour Amber bit me once, kevin twice, and dislocated my knuckle. this was all a minute after I looked at her and thought how much better she was doing! But then she proved me sadly wrong!
The long story is: ( and Im typing this all with my left hand thanks to a splint on my right middle finger so please forgive me!) Amber was out side, and I had just finished brushing her. I wanted to take her inside, so I took hold of her halter and unhooked her lead to take her in, like I have done many times before. When all of a sudden, after sitting so still while taking off the lead, she whips her head around and bites! I let go, and she went running off down the block. So for about 25-30 minutes we chased her around the neighbor hood in 90+ humid as hell weather. Finally I asked my neighbor if she could bring out her dog to try and attract Amber, which worked quite nicely! she came prancing over and had a good little romp with Prince, before we tried to get her back. She still wasnt having any of us getting close to her, so the best way to get her back was to take the leash I had and turn it into a lasso and throw it around her neck. Which also worked until she bolted in the opposite direction, I lot my grip on the leash, the clasp of it caught my ring which jerked me to the ground by my finger! The ring twisted and kinked, digging into my finger cutting it quite nicely on the side, and pinching my finger cutting off circulation. Shortly after that point I gave up, but Kevin managed to get a hold of her, but got a nice bite in retaliation. We FINALLY got her back inside, and Kevin went to give her water (like I said, 90+ weather, and she is covered in fur! We wanted to make sure she didnt get any kind of heat injury, even if she did just bite us) and she bit him again! He promptly grabbed her and forced her to the ground, making her submit which she did after a moment.
After that, we had to check wounds and clean up. After I inspected my finger and realized what my ring was doing, we tried getting it off ourselves, but it wasnt working. So we had to go to the ER, where the doctor inspected it and decided to splint it up. I didnt believe him when he said it was probably dislocated along with swollen and cut, after all it didnt hurt that much
well until he got the ring off and circulation returned! Now it hurts like a bitch!
So, Kevin decided that tomorrow before work he is going take her to the kennel. (Im sure he would have done it today had taking me to the ER not have made him late to work already.) I know the finger is more my fault then hers, but three bites in one day is a deal breaker. (that deal being we can keep her until biskits gets her to see how he helps her unless she bites
me before then. Kevin never really cared if he got bit, biting me is what he had a problem with.) And while the bites he got he admits were probably from chasing her all around the neighbor hood, the bite that started all this was unprovoked, and was done to me. (which Kevin wont stand for)
So, Im sad. Today has sucked. Tomorrow will be worse. I am unable to draw for a week or so. And Ill be dog less and home alone all day once again
This really sucks! The morning was so good too! Ghaaaaaaaah!
Oh, and of course, I got a ton of inspiration just the night before and was so ready for an evening alone with my computer and tablet to draw! Now thats not gonna happen

You might try using the Mighty Dog sauce on the hard food to see if that gets her attention. Part of her unwillingness to eat maybe the new enivornment (some dogs find it difficult to adjust and don't know what to do in their new home). Hope this helps.
P.S.
Just out curiosity, have you had any time to work on that commission? I know you have alot on your plate and just got your template back but just thought I'd check in.

Has Amber been doing other acts of violence to you and Kevin? With your animal training experience do believe there is no way to retrain her(so that she is no longer a threat/in need of being put down? Hope all is well.
As for pics:
